Serge Cazeau has been practicing cardiology for more than 30 years since graduating from Rennes University. Most recently, and for the past ten years, he was acting as Head of the Department of Electrophysiology at Saint-Joseph Hospital in Paris, France. Before this, he was co-managing the InParys group at the Val d’Or Center in Saint Cloud, France.

He was one of the pioneers in CRT with the implantation of the first four chamber pacing system  in 1994, and the author of some of the first publications in this field, including the MUSTIC study. He has served as President of the Pacing and Electrophysiology Group of the French Society of Cardiology, as Medical Expert for the French National Authority for Health, and also as part of the Cardiostim organization team for twenty years. He presently serves as Chief Medical Officer for MicroPort CRM and still practices clinical cardiology and Rhythmology.
