ACROCYANOSIS BY DAPSONE-ACQUIRED METHEMOGLOBINEMIA

Descrição

A 40-year-old female patient with systemic lupus erythematosus with refractory subacute cutaneous involvement started dapsone 100mg with improvement of the skin rashes. Subsequently, patient presented with significant acrocyanosis and mild jaundice due to hemolytic anemia, being diagnosed dapsone-acquired methemoglobinemia and G6PD deficiency. Patient improved after drug withdrawal and ascorbic acid replacement.
